| I'm wondering if in all the science sections of the MCAT it is necessary to always read the passage. Iknow that it is when there's a table or diagram- those must be looked at. But what's the best approach? Skim the passage? Or read it completely? Should they be thought of as VR passages? thanks. |

Skimming the passage is a very reasonable approach since often there is alot of useless data in the passage. Furthermore, the questions often direct you to a specific table/graph/experiment in the passage (especially in biology).
In fact, if ever you are running out of time in any science section, focus all your energy on the questions and only go to the passage when you clearly need specific information to answer that question. |
