Just finished GS-10 Biological Science. The questions were a nice variety. I noticed that there were quite a few of experimental data analysis. Something tested on recent and past mcats. Some questions were tough, like calculating an isomer, I guessed lowest b/c I could initially only thing of the ring form. The first passage was tough. I had 18 minutes to spare and just clicked "end test" What helped finishing that early was seeing the first 2 questions on the first passage and moved on. At the end of the exam I came back to it. It was interrupting my flow of concentration.
Overrall I really liked it. Scored 36/52; 9/15. Hopefully, I will review all this section today. I want to take the Verbal now. I can't wait. Too excited about the MCAT! |

I thought it was a bit tough, but fair. The last AAMC's especially 8 since it is the latest I took a while back in March, I received an 9 on BS. It was similar in difficulty though I would say this was a bit harder.
Hope that helps.
Anyone else have any inputs on comparison to the real thing, preferably AAMC 8 and GS-10 for Biological Sciences? |

| I thought the AAMC test was easier than GS-10. (Maybe because my score was higher with the AAMC one)However, I thought AAMC passages were a bit longer than GS-10. |

eo5, how did you do on AAMC 8 for BS section.
I received a 9 for AAMC 8 for BS, but haven't taken AAMC 9 yet. Based on your test experience, do you think when I take the AAMC 9 for BS it will be higher, considering the 9 on recent GS-10 BS? Just a thought. |

| I didn't think this one was bad at all, had lots of time left over (must've rushed), but the physical sciences was def tough |

Hi!
I got only a 10 on the biosci section of the GS10, but I got a 13 on that section on the AAMC practice test number 8. But I was studying about a couple days for several hours between those two tests. I think the GS tests are great, because they are ultimately more challenging, which is really going to boost scores on AAMC tests. But beware, I think the practice tests on AAMC are similar but they are still not as hard as the actual MCAT...But I don't know, I haven't taken an actual MCAT yet. |

Just finished the biological section of GS10
Got 11 (44/52).. there were 2 questions that I didn't read the questions well.. I could have done it better..
but anyway.. I only got an 8 on my physical science..
The questions were tough and lots of calculation..
I am curious. Do AAMC tests are easier than GS tests?
I haven't taken AAMC 10 yet.. But I'll take it tomorrow.. |
