So I am unsure of the strategy to use approximation to solve for this answer.
The question clearly asks for the minimum average power the section of Substance Q42 is capable of.
I see where if you approximate 0.3 seconds as 1/3 you arrive at answer choice C 24 watts. However say you do not approximate and just do the math you arrive at the fact that 26.66 Watts of power must be needed to perform 8J of work in .3 seconds.
Since the question as for the minimum amount of power needed, it appears that 24 Watts is just a little short and therefore makes answer choice D: 36 Watts the best option considering the choices. |

| The answer needs to be 36 watts, unless the question has 1/3 seconds, instead of 0.3 seconds. This is just a bad question overall. |
