Can you please explain how chromium has a half-filled d orbital?
It only has 4 d electrons. I thought you need 5 to be half filled d electron, so for that row it would be Mn and not Cr.

| Cr is an exception, it gives up a P electron to since having 5 D electrons is more stable |
