| The question is asking about in which process does complete inheritance of the mutation occur. The word "cytoplasmic" is only used to emphasize the concept introduced by the passage (in other words, no previous specific knowledge in this area is required). When you reread the passage, the focus is on this unusual concept of non chromosomal (in this case cytoplasmic) inheritance. |
