| I think this problem contains an egregious ambiguity. Shouldn't the answer choice be clarified with parentheses and read Δ = P(sinθ)/2? As written (Δ = Psinθ/2), couldn't the statement also mean Δ = Psin(θ/2)? |

Though I think that the second interpretation is not the more likely one (especially since there is no other option as a viable answer); nonetheless, the question was not intended to be ambiguous so brackets have been added. You can give yourself an extra 1/3 of a mark!  |
