The answer is quite clearly deduction. It may be profitable to review the definitions, or to recast the scenario in the question in both inductive and deductive forms.
Induction:
This patient got disease from contact with sick person and was caused by infectious agent: therefore, all sicknesses that arise from contact are caused by infectious agents.
Deduction:
1. Diseases caused by infectious agents spread by contact.
2. This patient got sick by contact.
3. Therefore this patient's disease is caused by an infectious agent.

| Haha I was going to post the same reply. IMO, GS really needs to improve their verbal sections. I'm finding a lot of mistakes and explanations that do not make sense. The correct answer is DEDUCTION. This is as clear as it gets. |
