Would a question with answers this close together be on the real MCAT?

Actually, one of the AAMC's practice tests (which is a real past MCAT) has a correct answer that is 0.002 units apart from the wrong answer which is much closer than the options in this question. So either answers that are numerically close or further apart is fair game on the real exam.

But for some perspective: for most questions, calculations are not required. When they are required, check how close the answers are before deciding what can be estimated in the calculation.

Just wondering: sqrt (0.5 x 10^16)= 0.25 x 10 ^8 right???

I can see how this could go either way but cannot figure out my math error.
