"Man is free to end his life when he chooses, but this does not mean that he has a right to do so. Such a right does not exist ethically, legally, or socially."

If someone doesn't have an ethical, legal, or social right to do something...that sounds like all bases of "unacceptable" are pretty covered to me.

The question is:
Quote:
From the passage, it can be inferred that:

I. there are 4 arguments used to justify euthanasia.
II. euthanasia is absolutely unacceptable regardless of a patient's situation.
III. euthanasia is illegal.

1. I, II, and III
2. I and II only
3. I and III only
4. I only
Answer: C

You mentioned:
Quote:
"Man is free to end his life when he chooses, but this does not mean that he has a right to do so. Such a right does not exist ethically, legally, or socially."

Yes, OK. However, the question here talks about euthanasia which is "The practice of killing a human being or animal for humane reasons, especially one suffering greatly or experiencing poor quality of life" and not suicide.

Therefore, "II. euthanasia is absolutely unacceptable regardless of a patient's situation" is not correct, because this is not implicated in the passage.
