I undestand the answer. But can someone please explain the following part: #
the solvent pairs given in answer choices C. and D. are incompatible, that is, a compound is usually insoluble in both or soluble in one, but not usually soluble in both of them. |

| According to the table this is true. Well in that case it makes it that much easier for you to eliminate those answer choices! |
