The ICF refers to INTRACELLULAR FLUID, thus is the fluid found within cells. ISF refers to INTERSTITIAL FLUID it is the fluid bathing the cells, and found in interstitial spaces. This fluid is a means of getting materials needed by cells, removing wastes and is mean of communication between them.
