Can you explain further why C wouldn't be the best answer? I was debating whether to chose B or C, but since I didn't see anything mentioned about "affinity" I didn't want to make wrong assumption.

Affinity is a measure of how tightly molecules bind. The question asks why R binds the substrate more tightly. Therefore, R must have higher affinity for the substrate than T. Even though the concentration of T is much greater, the substrate prefers R (so C cannot be the answer).
