Ideally, if you are looking to determine experimentally if Factor VIII critical for coagulation then remove Factor VIII (or mutate the gene/protein, answer choice C) and see what happens.
However, to change or inhibit an activation factor (thrombin) which is also involved in a completely separate pathway (fibrin clots, see P2 in the passage) does not prove which of the 2 possible pathways is responsible for hemophilia. |
