Certainly the most accurate scores are those from tests that you have never been exposed to. Having said that, there is still value in retaking exams 3-4 weeks later (of course, only if time permits).
The difference between a 10/15 or an 11/15 may be just 1-3 responses out of 40. The scales are determined by the performance of thousands of students and then the scales are created based on bell curves. The post by admin was only an estimated scale which was very close to the AAMC. But the scale for the exams are automated and accurate. Just to underline the point: if even between 1 and 3 out of 40 questions are "easier" for a group of students, the scale automatically shifts.
