Yes, it is true that repeating practice exams is not a good indicator for the real exam. However, clearly, repeating practice exams is better than not studying at all or trying to study esoteric information.
After having completed those practice exams, you should have a set of "gold notes" which you should be reviewing on a near daily basis (your cumulative learning from practice tests; see "Advice" on your CBT (Exams) page).
There are 2 resources left for you to find but it is not necessarily easy. The AAMC used to publish Practice Tests 1 and 2 and hundreds of problem sets called the AAMC Practice Items. Though they use the pre-2007 MCAT test format, the questions/problems/passages are all similar to the current MCAT. You can search ebay, craigslist, etc. If you do find them then you will also want The Silver Bullet Real MCATs Explained which provides detailed explanations to those AAMC problems because the AAMC never developed the solutions. |
