All our exams are timed according to the new MCAT. There is no "switch" to turn off the timer. We suggest completing most of your MCAT review first so that every exam is used as a practice run rather than just a source of problems which can be done a little at a time. The best way to prepare for a marathon: do your preparation then do practice marathons. Doing short races would not be ideal.

The problem with many companies' simulated exams is they focus on the memorizing of details whereas the new MCAT is more concept based. With regards to our exams (Gold Standard or GS), we think students are the best judge of what is most similar to the new MCAT. You will find 2 threads in the General Questions part of our forum that addresses your question from a student's point of view:

- What About GS CBT scores VS REAL MCAT SCORES
- GS CBTs vs AAMC CBTs
