Answer choice B says that the loci A, B and C each have a dominant allele which would cancel the expression of the traits triggered by these loci.
However, we do not know whether the traits are recessive or dominant and therefore this cannot be confirmed. This statement would only work if the traits of each locus were a recessive trait, meaning that yes a dominant allele would cancel out the ability to express the traits.
Answer choice C is basically the same thing, except this time the fact that the traits might be recessive or dominant is considered, meaning that we do not know exactly whether the dominant trait would cancel out or trigger the expression of the gene it codes for. |
