upon taking upper level bio courses such as neurobiology, psych-bio of perception, brain and behavior, etc. i was told repeatedly that the sodium potassium pump has, basically, nothing to do with the equilibrium of the voltage potential. This was emphasized to me and fellow classmates mainly bc it is constantly taught that way and wants to correct that. I dunno, for all intensive purposes, for the MCAT i will awknowledge the sodium potassium pump as the reason for reaching equilibrium, otherwise i strongly challenge this. . . .
