For A to be possible, there must be interference from 2 separate points which is not the case here. If delta is 0 then the waves act from one point of origin. Since they are in phase, they constructively interfere.

Note that there are 2 points of origin to generate alternating dark/light bands: www.physicsclassroom.com/Class/light/u12l1b.cfm
