| I don't understand the referenced sentence. What does it mean "for how long could he fail to see the misery of the colonized and the relation of that misery to his own comfort?" |

| Basically this means that the colonizer is clueless about the colonized's hard work and suffering only for the colonizer's comfort and good life. |
