Question 2:
"On which surface would the block used in experiment I experience the greatest acceleration when the plane is at θk?
A) 2
B) 3
C) 4
D) the acceleration of the blocks remains constant for all surfaces."
The question is asking about the variable θk with respect to the 4 surfaces. The blocks accelerate proportionally to:
F(down the plane) - Fk(up plane) = mgsinθk - μkmgcosθk
because its always the same mass. The F down the plane increases with θk, and the F kin friction decreases with and increase in θk. So without any calculating I would say the correct answer should be the one with the largest θk, b not d. None of the blocks accelerate at g unless the plane is 90deg. Which they are not.

| Can you please precise which question you are referring to? Is this from the lessons, from the Gold Standard, etc. |
