Chapter 6 - Solids and Liquids - Review Question 3

Which of the following must be true of γ if PL increases for a single liquid filled tube (i.e. same A, same h) over time?

A) γ is increasing
B) γ is decreasing
C) γ is a variable
D) none of the above

Answer notation: Since liquids are not compressible, there should never be a change in γ.

What about a change in temperature of the liquid? Would that not change γ? I think the answer should be B not D.

Opinions?
