Hi, I was a little confused by this experiment in general (passage 1, test 6, BS section.) It seems to me that after placing the 15-N containing parent DNA on the 14-N medium, one round of replication would lead to a 14/15 combo strand, and further replication of THAT strand would lead to a 14/14 strand. But what happened to the parent strand... how can we know that it was somehow removed? In #1, I don't see any indication that the parent strand, containing 15-N only, is present in the correct answer choice. Thanks!
