Request to make Forum Private?

Dear Dr. Ferdinand,

In an attempt to make this forum private, making it only viewable to those who log in, I strongly think will hinder and may permanently stop such spam messages. Such an event will create a sense of security and "membership" among those who purchased the CBT package, with individuals solely rested upon solving MCAT questions and sharing their advice on improvements.

Also it will create a more reassured confidence to those who post comments regarding Gold Standard or MCAT related topics. Basically, only those who are actually in the CBT test program or other MCAT programs by you will be able to comment. Also, it will give you better control over who posts the comments and ability to permanently remove any member given a mishap occurs over a enrolled member.

And last, but most important, those who look towards advice and post MCAT related questions don't have to go to a forum where immoral posts are posted next to the post they are reading.

Could you please consider this? There is SDN and probably thousands of other forums for the spammers to go to.

You are right on all accounts. It really is incredible but this spamming issue only started when the new MCAT CBTs came out. Nonetheless, I have handed this over to our programmers who will update security measures including making it private and other measures. This may take a couple of weeks to institute. Thanks for the comments.

I just logged into my MCAT-PREP account and noticed a new tab called "FORUM".

I clicked on it and noticed that the spam is still on there. I am only assuming that the link when you click on, goes directly to the same place as the old one. I checked this to verify.

I guess it is still in the making, if not just a working progress on the technician's part.

Me, too. I can't wait. It'll be official with only privatized GS CBT users.

Boy, I'd like to see the faces of those spammers when they find out they can't get in anymore. It'll drive them out of business, and just maybe decide on a career to medicine and buy GS CBTs and practice answering MCAT questions like us.

Well, maybe the last part might not happen, but the first part for sure.
