"One possible method . . . would be" highly suggests a hypothetical conclusion. In other words, the question is not saying that you should know what is possible in general but rather, you can formulate a hypothetical answer based on the information presented in the passage. When you read the Explanation for this problem, you see that the other answer choices contain some measure of contradiction.
In summary: the question will suggest how much leeway you have; biology questions are often passage dependent; the process of elimination (and crossing out answers) can be quite helpful. |
