I have finished all the GS Exams. My scores have ranged from 5 to 9 on each section. I showed a fairly steady increase through the first six tests, but the last four tests my scores were low. They ranged between 5 and 8 on each section.
I just finished AAMC 10 and scored
PS- 11
VR- 11
BS- 9
I am scheduled for the 7-13 test. Should I go for it? |

If you get a chance, for everyone on this forum, please post your score comparisons on each section and time you took between each test on the GS vs. AAMC thread, located in the "General Forum."
BTW, looks like you are set for the 2 sections. I would look carefully at your weak area in BS (AAMC shows a diagnostic report). Take a close look. Right now, I am using Berkeley Review books (lots of detail) for better understanding on weak areas. I have used many concept books. In the end, understanding is the gold you want. |

Your performance on the most recent practice AAMC MCAT CBT available is encouraging but I would need more context to be more helpful.
For example, what MCAT score would you be satisfied with? This is very important because a satisfactory score is related to your objective. You can get some concept of the scores required here: www.mcattestscores.com/usmedicalschoolsmcatscoresGPA.html
Have you done all of the other AAMC tests? How did you perform on the ones that you have done?
NB: you may have already done so, but if not, please consider reading the following: www.mcat-prep.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=927 |

For my #1 choice the average composite MCAT scores for the matriculants was a 28. However my GPA is a bit under the average so I would obviously prefer to score above average on the MCAT. I'm guessing my target score would be a 30.
I have also completed AAMC tests 3,4, and 5. I scored 26, 27, and 26 respectively. I completed these tests before the GS exams to gauge where I was about midway through my prep. I planned on taking four more of the AAMC exams with the time I have left. I have also compiled Gold notes from the GS exams I have taken, and used AAMC diagnostics to target weak areas. I took vacation from work this week in order to gain extra study time. What a GREAT summer vacation. LOL |

You are on target to acheive your scores and to peak at the right time. If I were you, I would approach the 7-13 test with measured confidence. I suspect you have aimed to do one new practice AAMC test every 2-3 days which will give you sufficient time to adequately review each exam, expand your Gold Notes and to have a couple of days before the real exam in which you only need to review those notes, stay loose and focus.
It will be a great summer - starting the morning of July 14th. |
